Urdoviza
The village comes with ancient history. Very close to Kiten you can see the remains of the fortress Urdoviza, located 1,2 km away on the Urdoviza peninsula. The name Urdoviza comes from the distant Bronze Age in ancient Thrace. It is confirmed as an old Thracian village based on the finding in the surrounding bay of many items from the Bronze Age including ancient pottery and stone anchors, wrapped ceramic fragments of amphoras and fragments of Roman vessels. Now you can see the remains of a fortress wall, which has protected the peninsula from any unwanted visitors by land. The wall was very well kept until the end of the XIX century.
